OKLAND BEACH (8 minutes from Columbus Park)

Oakland Beach doesn’t get a lot of visitors, but it's always fun to be here. You need to get out of the house, and Oakland Beach in Westchester County, New York is the outdoors at its finest. There aren’t any lodgings in the vicinity but if you're prepared to go a small distance then no problem and if you make reservations prior to departure you're all set. This is such a wonderful beach. This segment of New York is always a bliss to stop at during the summer months. Choppy water and such a scenic slice of shore is quite a sight. For all you camping folks there are campgrounds nearby. During your trip to Oakland Beach you'll meet some people from Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown for sure; while you're here here do stop at close by Rye Beach.

Downtown Port Chester (2 minutes from Columbus Park)
